GENERAL PLOW DAY RULES
Contest Shall not hold committee or event officials liable for any accident, injury, to them self or others, or damage to their own or others property that may occur during the course of this event.
As a member of Western Pennsylvania Garden Tractor Association I (myself) is also a member on the saftey committee.
1 All participants / operators must register prior to taking part in any activity, or before operating equipment on the grounds. Only registered operators / participants will be allowed to operate equipment.
2 Speed Limit: All equipment is to be operated at a walking pace(less then 5 mph or 2 gear) when not actively engaged in field work.
2B No riders on tractors or equipment, drivers only
3 Be CAREFUL!! Be aware of your surrounding and spectators around you.
4 No ALCOHOL or MIND ALTERING DRUGS are permitted and will not be TOLERATED.
5 Do not refuel a HOT running tractor, Fueling at designated area only.
6 Unsafe or broken tractors will not be allowed to plow or pull until they are repaired.
7 We are here with our prize(s) (our garden tractors) and we are adults with good common sense. Please use them we don't want to have to add more rules.

As a member of Western Pennsylvania Garden Tractor Association I (myself) is a member on the safety committee.
All drivers must be a member of the Western Pennsylvania Garden Tractor Association.(WPGTA)
This is for fun, no prize money is involved.
1 All tractors must be of the Lawn/Garden tractor variety with stock engines.
2No alcohol or drugs on the grounds. Anybody under the influence cannot be involved in any events, and will be asked to leave the grounds. Obscene language will not be tolerated.
3 Only the judges and the drivers are allowed on the track.
4 No riders on any tractor on the grounds. THIS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED!!!
5 Drivers must be seated on the tractor seat at all times.
6 All drivers must have one hand on the steering wheel while in motion.
7 Unsafe or broken tractors will not be allowed to pull until they are repaired.
8 The tractor must remain within the defined "in bounds" track area during the pull.
9 No jerking the sled permitted.
10 Driver must exhibit the ability to control the tractor at all times. This is to include before pull, backing up to sled and after pulling.
11 During Pull hookup and unhooking the tractor operator must position the tractor in neutral, feet positioned flat on the tractor floor boards, idle tractor, raise both hands and dedicate full attention to the track judge for further directions.
12 When the front wheels leave the ground with out wheelie bars or stop forward motion the pull is over.
13 All rules will be interpreted by the Garden Tractor Rules Committee. Any unforeseen problems or oversights will be ruled on by the rules committee with there rulings being final.
14 Track and safety officials have the authority to enforce all rules as stated herein and to disqualify any tractor for violations or unsafe conditions. All decisions are final.
